Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (pdlc) Film

PDLC is made up of  a layer of small liquid crystals wedged between layers of PET film polymer. When an electric field is applied the molecules line up vertically and you are able to see through the film.  When turned off, the molecules randomly scatter making the film opaque visibly. (Dimmers are also available)
